Budgerigars are the pretiest, playful and most colourful birds of the world. Its native region is Australia. Previously it was said that all colours of Budgerigars are available except violet, black and magenta.

Now a days its not true. For the revolution of science,

Violets are available in Bangladesh but blacks are not available. Its very tough job to identify male and females in yellow and white Budgee.

Budgees are matured at the age of 6 to 7 months. Matured male's nose is blue and matured female's nose is pink to white.  Its better to breed all birds at the age of 1 year which is not practiced yet, specially

we don't. Each female lays 3 to 7 eggs even 8 ( I have this experience and among them 7 hatched. but you have to foster some of them due to their age difference). After the cheeks are hatched you have to feed them some soft food like lightly toasted breads soaked in water and mash it. You can also give them corn or cerelac according to availability.Fed Budgees millets ( kaun, china).

Some important tips:

1. Feed birds adequately not excess.
2. Takeout food and water from cage at 6 evening.
3. Give clean water everyday.
4. Give saline water during summer.
5. Clean trays once in a week.
6. Give multivitamins with minerals regularly.
7. Give fresh vegetables regularly, spinach (palong shak), mints (pudina pata) are preferable.
8. Give antibiotics when birds are sick.
9. Adequate sunlight is important.
10. keep the bird room/ aviary/ cages free of rodents and insects.
11. Wash your hands before after taking care of birds.
12. Change your shoes before entering your bird room.
